was a Japanese folk rock band, which existed between 1970 and 1973. The band's pioneering avant-garde sound is highly revered, and they are considered to be one of the most influential bands in Japanese music. The band was formed by Haruomi Hosono, and Takashi Matsumoto. When Happy End disbanded, Hosono went on to form the Yellow Magic Orchestra, while Matsumoto became a successful lyricist, and Suzuki and Ohtaki continued their careers as guitarists. In 2003, their song "Kaze Wo Atsumete" appeared on the Lost In Translation movie soundtrack.
