4 stars An interesting take on a seminal influence for metal
I am a big fan of Led Zeppelin. I am also a fan of metal. This album seems to be a fitting tribute by a number of less well known death metal bands to an important influence in all modern metal. I have to say that while I'm a huge fan of Zep, I do not seem them as some kind of sacred cow. So many of the other reviewers seem to feel that this is a humorous album. 2 stars Dead Zeppelin: Painfully funny
I bought this c.d. for my boyfriend who hates Led Zeppelin(which I love)but loves death metal in an attempt to fuse our musical styles together into something we could both appreciate. Although this album is not really a great quality one, it is funny as hell! Some of the songs just cracked me up! Especially the rendition of "Immigrant Song."
