5 stars Louder than sirens, louder than bells
"Happiness hit her like a train on a track/Coming towards her stuck still no turning back/She hid around corners and she hid under beds/She killed it with kisses and from it she fled..."

Florence and the Machine is one of those little bands that seeps in under the pop radar, and becomes a sensation based on pure talent. 3 stars Reality vs. Hype
The vocalist has an amazing, atmospheric voice. This album is your soundtrack for running across the moors with your lover in Ireland and wearing a long, flowing dress, you know? I can take 2 or 3 songs at a time "Dog Days Are Over" "Drumming Song," but all together the album and her voice is way too intense and loud. It gets tiring after a while. I bought the whole album, but could have done with maybe 3 or 4 of my favorite songs. Also, the songs tend to sound basically the same. This woman is very talented, but the album is a bit overhyped.
