Overview Edit

"My Happy Ending" is a song written and produced by Avril Lavigne and Butch Walker, engineered by Russ T. Cobb for Lavigne's second album, Under My Skin (2004). It was released as the album's second internationally released single in 2004 and became Lavigne's fourth most successful single. It peaked higher than "Don't Tell Me", the album's first single. In the United Kingdom, it reached the top five; in the United States, it peaked at number nine, doing better in Mexico where it peaked at number 1. Structurally, the song is written in 4/4 style and has a repeated hook in both the chorus and in the intro and outro.

The RIAA certified "My Happy Ending" platinum in January 2005, making it Lavigne's second platinum single after "Complicated" (2002).

The CD single performs a different function that the 45's of our youth, which makes a big assumption that Avril Lavigne's fans are old enough to remember when 45's were still made (they should: the mass production of 45's ended circa 1990, but they are still made in limited quantities for jukebox operators who have not upgraded to newer CD jukeboxes). In the old days the purpose of the single was to give you a taste of what could be found on an album and you could have the hottest single without…

3 stars Pretty Good
Okay I admit I don't have the CD. But I have listened to all the songs a million times on the internet and at my friends house. Anyway this CD is pretty good.

But a little grown up for some younger adiences. So I would recommened it for 14 and up. The best song on this CD is My happy ending.

I think her first CD was better and more appropiate for younger adiences. But if you want to buy it. Buy this CD!
