5 stars An All Time Fave Of Mine!
Shake It Up is one of my all time favorite compilations.

Every song sparkles with pure pop perfection! However it

leaves you wanting MORE.For years I have wondered why someone

hasn't done a Powerpop boxset on the order of No Thanks!, or

Nuggets? A box that would cover the early years from the time

Greg Shaw coined the term, to the point where it all really

started to gel & come together. :)At the very least, the 1994

D.I.Y. series by Rhino needs to be reissued & back in print again,

that series …

2 stars A few songs worth having on CD.
Fair compilation, not as good as a lot of other Power Pop discs

It is worth buying for The Cryers, The Rubinoos, 20/20, The Shoes, Chris Stamey and the dBs early single, the Plimsouls - Zero Hour is great, and who wouldn't want Holly and the Italians - Tell That Girl to Shut Up. If you already have most of these songs from your other records don't bother buying this one since the rest here are easily forgettable.

I would get Lost Weekend: A Celebration of Australia instead.
