Not what I liked them for, originallySince there are invariably many other reviews that go into detail, track by track, about the various "objective" qualities of this album, I'm just going to concisely state my opinion:If De-Loused was your favorite album, and you don't think they've gotten progressively better since then, then you'll be sorely disappointed by this one. If you thought Amputechture was moving in the right direction, you might like it. I, for one, want the old Mars Volta back.
