You can't compare this to classic Queen or Paul Rodgers. This is 2 talented forces combining to create 1 enjoyable disc. It has something for the fans of both bands, and also something for anyone who appreciates good adult rock n' roll. From the beginning in your face rock, all the way thru a roller coaster of melodies, this disc is just plain enjoyable. 3 stars It's not bad, but is it really Queen?
Well, not really, but there are times when we you hear echoes of the band. Paul Rogers is an incredible singer and sounds just as good as ever, and on songs like "We Believe," and "Through The Night," May lets his guitar soar in a way that will have you recalling past triumphs. "Call Me" hearkens back to the harmonies that Queen was synonymous with but the overall effect is a bit of a patchwork of with over the top political anthems like "Warboys" or Rogers-style rock ballads with Queen overtone…
