4 stars Music for the listener who likes a little bit of everything
Busta Rhymes has a great track, which also featured on his E.LE. album. This song has a crowded party feel to it which is great! Then there is Everlast a great blend of blues, folk, rap, and stitched together with an acoustic guitar sound. Alana Davis has a song that seems like a follow up of her 32 flavors album, good stuff. 3 stars Great new music from Alana Davis
I bought the album after hearing Alana Davis' version of "Can't Find My Way Home" on the radio. After comparing the two versions of the song (Davis' and the original from Blind Faith), I find that the older version is lacking. Davis brings a very smart 90's angle to the song that adds a tremendous amount of depth. The rest of the album is pretty good too... I liked the Bjork contribution especially. Both of these emerging female artists are really finding their voices.
