Biography

Edit

98° are an American boy band formed by Jeff Timmons in LA in 1997. The group are Timmons, Nick and Drew Lachey and Justin Jeffre.

They released their debut album in 1997, but hit the heights with their follow-up, 98° and Rising. It went multi-platinum, helped by a collaboration with Stevie Wonder on the single "True to Your Heart" and an 'appearance' in the Disney animated film Mulan. Even greater success would follow with subsequent releases This Christmas and Give Me One More Night (Una Noche). The band spent almost a year in the Top 200 Singles charts for "Thank God I Found You", sung with Mariah Carey and Joe, which would also earn them a Grammy nomination.

After a short career during which the band sold over 10 million albums, they decide to take a break to concentrate on their own careers. They have said that this is not a permanent split.
