Overview Edit

Trash is a studio album released by heavy metal singer Alice Cooper in 1989.

The album featured "Poison", Cooper's first top ten hit since his single "You And Me" in 1977. After Alice's return to the music industry in 1986 with the successful tour "The Nightmare Returns", Cooper had sought assistance from Desmond Child to create a comeback album. Trash became one of Cooper's biggest albums, accompanied by music videos for "Poison", "Bed of Nails", "House of Fire", and "Only My Heart Talkin'". A successful year-long worldwide concert tour in support of the album was documented in the home video release Alice Cooper Trashes The World. Additionally, much of the album conveys a sexual theme.

The album features many guest performances including Jon Bon Jovi, Stiv Bators, Steven Tyler, and Kane Roberts, who left the Alice Cooper line-up after the 1987-88 World Tour.

5 stars Alice Cooper's most entertaining record!
I know it might sound crazy, but I really feel that this is ALICE COOPER'S best work. I love Alice, and all of his work, but this album is so entertaningly cheesy and experimental that it just bowled me over when I finally got it a couple of months ago. The idea of production by Desmond Child (Bon Jovi), made me wary of what he'd make Alice sound like, but what he's managed to do is add the same hooky sing-along sensability that he did for Bon Jovi and Aerosmith. I know that might sound a little…

3 stars A bit shallow but very a solid offering from the Coop
"Trash" is not Alice Cooper's best but it's immensely enjoyable nonetheless. A reviewer here has pointed to the fact that Mr. Cooper hangs his head in shame on the cover while delivering unabashed "Trash". I find that pretty funny as it may actually contain quite a bit of truth. Alice Cooper is not a very complicated musician lyrically speaking but his endless diversified quest in finding a right sound has produced some very memorable albums. At this point in his career he was having a tough tim…
