Alkaline Trio is an American punk rock band formed in McHenry, Illinois in 1996. Starting out as bicycle messengers to earn keep, the band eventually gave this up to perform on the road full time.
The band released two EPs before their critically acclaimed debut album, Goddamnit was offered in 1998, but they had to wait until their move to a larger record label and their fourth album release From Here to Infirmary in 2001 to make any impact on the mainstream. "Stupid Kid", a track from the album, met with measured results on the charts and they repeated this success with the track "We've Had Enough" taken from their next release Good Mourning in 2003. Both Good Mourning and their next release, Crimson, hit the top thirty of the US Billboard charts and the top forty of the UK charts.
The band members have continued to collaborate with their peers; Andriano was a member of The Falcon from 2004 onwards, and Skiba started up his side-project, Heavens in 2006.
