Allen West (born October 17, 1967, Brandon, Florida, United States) is an American guitarist who has been a member of Obituary, Six Feet Under and Lowbrow. He is considered to have been one of the first musicians to play a style of music known as death metal in the 1980s
In high school, West formed the band Massacre. West's second band was Xecutioner, which laid down the foundation of Obituary.
West has one son and resides in Florida.
He was recently incarcerated at the Gainesville Correctional Institution and released on January 19, 2008. After his release he cast his lot full-time in the band Lowbrow. It was announced in January 2009 that Lowbrow has decided to disband at the conclusion of their European tour. West is currently in the band Southwicked.
