R&B singer Amerie first found success making a guest appearance on the Nas album Stillmatic. Her debut album All I Have (2002) reached No.2 in the charts and was eventually certified gold, before she made an acting appearance alongside Katie Holmes in First Daughter. Touch (2005) reached No.5 in the US Album chart and was also certified gold, helped by the success of single "1 Thing", which went Top 10 in the US and the UK and earned her a Grammy nomination. Touch was also nominted for a Grammy for Best Contemporary R&B Album, but it lost to Mariah Carey's The Emancipation of Mimi. Third album Because I Love It was released in Europe in late 2007, and will be released in America in early 2008.
