Overview Edit

Movin' Melodies is André Tanneberger's first album under the name of ATB. It includes the singles "9pm (Till I Come)", "Don't Stop" and "Killer". The album was written, produced, arranged and engineered by ATB.

Unlike the singles, the typical ATB-sound is hardly used on the album's other tracks. Tanneberger did not want to put together a pure dance album. Therefore, in addition to more club-oriented songs, there are also quiet, melodic tracks that reflect his preference for sound compositions by Enigma, Mike Oldfield and Jean Michel Jarre. Track 12 ("Beach Vibes") is commonly misnamed as "Ocean Trance".

5 stars This album gets under your skin and then goes deeper
Other reviewers here, have simply said that the tracks on this album are too repetitive and they leave it at that ... I just can't let that go unchallenged. This album gets under your skin and then goes deeper. Yes, it is great dance music, but I have also found that when it is played as background music at my workplace (software developer), it gave me a whole new burst of energy with every 'rhythm build' and 'serenity moment' ! Even if you haven't bought any other dance albums, I suggest you buy this one.. it's in a class of its own.

3 stars Techno Pop Gone Bad
I bought this cd after hearing the 9PM(Till I Come) track which is really awesome... the rest of the cd just sounds too much of the same stuff remixed over and over... nothing really new or catchy.. it has a video game soundtrack feel to it... a few good songs(9PM, Don't Stop, Too Much Rain)... a few repetative songs... would be better as background music.. I recommend picking up the new Moby (Play) instead... or for the trance side pick up some Ministry of Sound compilatations. This is a 50/50 chance cd.
