Overview Edit

Trilogy is the sixth studio album by German artist ATB. It is released in two versions, a limited and normal version. It was released in Europe on 27 April 2007 and in the U.S. on 22 May 2007.

This album was made with a similar concept as ATB's second album, Two Worlds (2000), which is a two-disc album based upon different types of music for different moods. The first CD featured mainly up-tempo songs, while the second CD provided ambient and down-tempo songs.

The normal version of Trilogy includes only the first disc, which has a feel similar to that of ATB's older albums though with a slightly more rock/pop-oriented sound than his previous efforts, while the second disc, included only in the limited version, has a much more ambient feel, similar to some other trance music artists.

5 stars Worth the Wait!
I downloaded this from iTunes four minutes after midnight so I could have the latest album from my favorite electronic artist and it did not leave me disappointed!

There are two discs that come with this one. The first is done in the mold of traditional ATB in terms of song structure and style. While it has ATB's distinct sound, it again goes into new directions in terms of how it is presented. Vocalists include Heather Nova, Jan Löchel, Jeppe Riddervold, and Karen Ires, with Heather and Jan be…

3 stars A brighter sounding Two Worlds
Heather Nova really shines on this 2 CD compilation with the peaceful Stars Come Out and the smooth pop of Made of Glass. Renegade, the first single from this compilation, really doesn't feel like Heather Nova, and the bright melody doesn't fit well with the lyrics. There are no songs that I've noticed that use the unique techno sound that you hear in The Summer from Two Worlds and 9 PM from Movin' Melodies, as it would not fit in the flow of this compilation, and it's nice to hear something a b…
