4 stars Better than Part 1
During the making of the Scarecrow, the upcoming third Avantasia record, some songs had to be left off and that's where this EP comes from. This one is certainly better than Part 1 and contains a more traditional Avantasia sound.

The title track is nothing new to owners of Part 1. "Lost in Space" is a straight-forward ballad with an obvious direction. It feels like a track made to ease people into the new sound for the record. I'm not sure how indicative it truely is, but I would imagine it con…

3 stars Good for a single (EP), 'Promised Land' really rocks
This is the second part of Avantasia's Lost In Space EP's. The two EP's promote the forthcoming full length Avantasia album, 'The Scarecrow'.

In my opinion, there was no need for the band to put out two CD singles, as there is a lot of filler material in both. They could have easily put out one great one instead. Anyways...

This time around the Avantasia band consists of Tobias Sammet on bass and lead vocals, Sascha Paeth on guitars and Eric Singer on drums.
