Biography

Edit

Blue Murder is a hard rock outfit hailing from England. The band was founded by guitarist John Sykes (formerly of Tygers Of Pan Tang, Thin Lzzy, Whitesnake). Initially he recruited singer Ray Gillen and drummer Cozy Powell (with them Sykes recorded the demo). The line-up on the debut album features drummer Carmine Appice, bassist Tony Franklin and keyboarder Nik Green, next to Sykes on lead guitar and vocals. After two regular albums and a live one, Blue Murder disbanded in 1994.
