R&B singer Bobby Valentino was rejected by the judges of American Idol in 2004; they missed a trick, because since then he has gone on to great chart success. After featuring on the Ludacris hit "Pimpin' All Over The World", he released a debut self-titled solo album in 2005. It reached No.3 on the Billboard 200 and has since sold over half a million copies. Second album Special Occasion (2007), featuring production from Rodney Jerkins and Timbaland among others, debuted at No.3 on the album chart.
