Overview Edit

Rock On Honorable Ones!! is Bowling for Soup's second studio album. The title is a reference to the slogan of S.H. Rider High School in Wichita Falls, Texas, where Bowling for Soup hails from. Based on the practice of Permian High School in Odessa, Texas (subject of Friday Night Lights), which is nicknamed "MOJO," Rider High adopted the slogan "ROHO" in the 1960s. Rider's sports teams are called the "Raiders," and Rider students are informed that "ROHO" stands for "Ride On Honorable Ones." This is the only Bowling For Soup album to include a horn section.

This CD is BFS's first, and, like they say on their website, they were still trying to find their sound, and jazz and ska were big when it was recorded…

2 stars Before BFS hit their groove
I started listening to Bowling For Soup with their later albums. When I listened to this one, I was sorely disappointed. It doesn't match the style of the later albums at all. They sound like a knockoff of an early Green Day album. The only track on the CD that is really good is Belgium, which can be found on several of their other albums, so you don't need to buy this one to get it.
