Brooks Wackerman

Brooks Wackerman (born February 15, 1977) is the current drummer for the American punk band Bad Religion and the younger brother of Chad Wackerman, formerly a member of Frank Zappa's band.

From 1993 to 2000, Wackerman was a member of Infectious Grooves, playing drums on the albums Groove Family Cyco (1994) and Mas Borracho (2000) and touring with the band.

Wackerman played drums for the Vandals album Look What I Almost Stepped In... (2000). He is the substitute for Vandals drummer Josh Freese, due to Freese's commitments with groups such as Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle, and Devo.

In 2001, he became the latest drummer for Bad Religion by replacing Bobby Schayer, who left the band due to an arm injury. He has appeared on The Process of Belief, The Empire Strikes First, and their latest album New Maps of Hell. Bad Religion has begun writing new material for their fifteenth studio album expected to be released in 2010.

Wackerman, alongside Terry Bozzio, contributed drums and percussion for Korn's Untitled studio album. He is the frontman for Hot Potty. Wackerman is also the drummer for The Innocent, a Thrash metal band featuring bassist Ryan Sinn (formerly of Love Equals Death, Angels & Airwaves, and The Distillers), vocalist Brandan Schieppati (Bleeding Through) & guitarist Dave Nassie (No Use for a Name). In March 2008, Wackerman joined guitarist/vocalist Munky's (Korn) newest solo project, experimental music industrial rock band Fear and the Nervous System alongside Billy Gould (Faith No More), Leopold Ross (Error), Zac Baird (Korn, Billy Goat), and Wes Borland, who formerly played with Limp Bizkit, From First to Last, and Black Light Burns on two tracks.

Wackerman toured on the Tenacious D 2006-2007 Tour as drummer.

Wackerman currently fronts Kidneys alongside Tenacious D's John Spiker and another of his musically talented brothers, John Wackerman. The band released a self-titled full-length in December, 2007.

Devin Townsend recently announced, that Wackerman would be playing on the Devin Townsend Project album Deconstruction, on his official message boards.
