Overview Edit

Golden State is the fourth and final studio album by British post-grunge band Bush, released in 2001. Stylistically, it was seen as a return to the post-grunge that Bush became famous for in contrast to their more recent experimental work. However, it ended up being their worst-selling album to date, not even reaching the Platinum status their other albums did. The liner notes of Golden State cite the album in memory of Ian Lowery, founder of The Folk Devils.

5 stars The Best is yet to come!!
Let me start off by stating that I am almost 35, I'm married and i have loved Bush since 16 Stone. I am one of the few who found Razorblade Suitcase to be a delightful little "bitter pill" that I swallowed over and over again. Much better than their debut album. It just OOZED emotional angst thu the speakers.

The remix album was good and Science of Things was solid, but lacking.

Enter...Golden State. Simple. Complex. Bitter. Reflective.

This album is the culmination of EVERYTHING the band has do…

3 stars It's Ok
Not bad but not great, I think some of them just get a bit annoying after a while though. I downloaded "Solutions", "The People That We Love", "Headful Of Ghosts" & "Hurricane" before I got the album and loved them at the time. Its just when you listen to them too much. "The People that we love" is a very strong song and love it, "Superman" is also a great song that I got into quickly. "My Engine Is With You" is a very fast song, You have to keep up with it, good though. "Float" and "Inflatable" are also a couple of my faves.
