Overview Edit

A Present for Everyone is the second and final studio album by British pop rock band Busted. It was released in November 2003 by Universal Island Records and debuted at number 2 on the UK Albums Chart. It became a triple platinum album with sales of over one million.

Eight of the fifteen tracks were co-written with Tom Fletcher from McFly, while "She Wants to Be Me" and "3am" were co-written with production team The Matrix. "Fake" and "Better Than This" were collaborations between Matt Willis, Guy Chambers and Steve Power; James Bourne and Neve guitarist Michael Raphael wrote "Can't Break Thru".

Five songs were released as singles: "Crashed the Wedding", "Who's David?", "Air Hostess", "3am" and "She Wants to Be Me". "3am" was issued with the non-album track "Thunderbirds Are Go!" as a double A-side (see "Thunderbirds/3am").

Critical reaction to the album was generally positive. On bbc.co.uk, Nikki Smith writes: "They far outshine their boy band competitors, not just because of their ability to play instruments but also for the sheer energy and enthusiasm that comes through in their music".

Allmusic states: "Though it's way too long at 15 tracks, the album at least sticks to its template of earnest, slightly bawdy tales of boys and girls wrapped around peppy, ultra-slick, and sickeningly in-the-moment guitar pop."

The album was the 19th best selling of 2003 in the UK.

The album has been certified as 3x Platinum in the UK.

5 stars Still Going Strong
A great album for all the punk popsters out there! There is a great variety of songs on this album all of which I think are fantastic!

It's along the same lines as the first album but more perfected and very slightly rockier, yet still pop perfect.

Each song has the "busted" appeal and each one is as catchy as the one before!

Air Hostess- Crazy song about...well...an air hostess! Its one of the guys favourites on the album. 'A damn good song!' Is James' summary, and one of the best Busted songs …

3 stars Busted hhas an awesome sound
This group is very much like Blink 182, but has its own flair. The song Air Hostess is very good, has good lyrics and music. I would reccomend this group to anyone who likes Blink 182 or music similar to that.
