Biography

Edit

Cardiacs are an English Alternative Rock and Psychedelic Pop band formed in 1977. The band's broad combination of styles is sometimes referred to as Pronk (progressive punk), although group leader Tim Smith prefers the description "Psychedelic" or simply "Pop". Their music is underpinned by Smith's unique singing and songwriting styles, and his poetically cryptic, philosophical and abstract lyrics. with the music magazine Organ commenting that "one Cardiacs song contains more ideas than most other musicians' entire careers".
