Supermodel and singer-songwriter Carla Bruni was born in Italy in 1967. She has released three albums. Her debut in 2002, Quelqu'un m'a dit, was sung in French, and did well in Europe. Her follow up, 2007's No Promises, was an English language album where Bruni put the works of poets such as Yeats and Auden to music. Her third album, Comme si de rien n'était, mainly sung in French, was released in 2008, a few months after her marriage with the President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy.
