US born R&B singer and model Cassie started out as a model (with high profile work for Adidas and Abercrombie and Fitch) while she was still in high school. She recorded a demo which came to the attention of music executive Tommy Mottola, who became her manager, and a record deal was arranged with P. Diddy's Bad Boy Entertainment in 2006. She released her self-titled debut and the single "Me&U" later that year. The single made the top five and pushed the album to No.4 on the Billboard 200. She also made an appearance in Kanye West's Stronger video.
