Linkin Park Singer Is Victim In Saw 3-D

Oct, 3 2010

Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington hasn't had many breaks in his ambition to be an actor: his movie portfolio currently consists of just two cameo appearances in the Crank thrillers. But now that his band's fourth album A Thousand Suns is out, he can focus on his biggest screen role yet: as a victim in the new 3-D version of the gore series, Saw. A promo photo revealed this week shows a terrified Bennington behind a broken car windscreen, but little else about his role has been revealed. "The thing that is interesting about this particular scene is that it's a trap set for multiple people," he told MTV. "Jigsaw [the killer] typically sets up traps for one, maybe two people. There are never more people involved than that. This particular trap is set up for multiple people, and it's a very complicated trap that's been set. There are different kinds of emotional things going on for my character, but it's very much in the tradition of a good Saw trap." "And it's in 3-D, so there's going to be blood spattering at your face, which is something that's going to be pretty bad-ass." For Linkin Park fans who want to see their frontman's blood up close, the movie will be out at the end of this month.
