Chris Tomlin was born in 1972 in Texas. He is a Christian singer-songwriter best known for his tracks "How Great is Our God", "Forever" and "Holy is The Lord". He released his debut album The Noise We Make in 2001, which included "Forever". The track is in the top spot of the Christian Copyright Licensing International top 25 which includes four other tracks by Tomlin. His eighth studio album, 2006's See The Morning, debuted at No.15 on the Billboard chart, his highest entry yet. The album has been nominated for two Grammy awards.

Gospel Music Awards made him Male Vocalist of the Year in both 2006 and 2007 and Artist of the Year in 2007.
