Icelandic vocalist Heidrun Bjornsdottir (formerly of Gloss and 4AD's Gus Gus), and Britons Aaron Gilbert (also known as Mr Natural) and Alex Payne, along with various guests, comprise Cicada.

Their song "Don't Stare At The Sun" appeared in a commercial for Revlon featuring Jessica Biel.
