Biography

Edit

Clint Black is an American singer-songwriter, actor and record producer who has found fame within the neo-traditional country music genre. His debut album alone scored four No.1 singles on the US Hot Country Singles chart, and since then he has followed that with a further eleven tracks in the top slot.

He dropped out of High School in order to play in his brother's band, having taught himself to play the guitar, bass and harmonica at an early age. By his late twenties he had released Killin' Time (1989) and Put Yourself in My Shoes (1990) which were both certified triple platinum. His next four albums all achieved platinum certification but by the end of the 90s his star was fading and his most recent albums have not sold as well.
