Crazy Town will probably forever be known, sadly, as the "Butterfly" band, because they are one hit wonders, and that was their one hit, and that's not right. Their first single ever, "Toxic", was ultimately ignored by VH1, MTV, MTV2 and just about every other music station. But then "Butterfly" was released-instant fame. The next day, it was gone. "Drowning" got some air play, but not enough to improve, for example, this album's sales rank above 10, 000. But don't be intimidated about getting this album, whether your fear is that the whole thing will be another "Butterfly", or if rap will be dominate again like in "The Gift of Game", or if they're not popular enough for you...As I said, if you're looking for hard/poppy rap rock/rap metal, you should check this out. It's like Limp Bizkit's first album; in times it can [be bad], and at other times you'll wish there was more material of them sounding like this. The first single, "Drowning", is a melodic rock jam with great singing by both vocalists and very good lyrics, even though they're about a very old subject. Other highlights are the hard "Decorated" (which is more heavy than the title suggests), "Take It To The Bridge" for its awesome bass, "Hurt You So Bad", one of the more pop-rock tracks, which features an guitar solo by River Cuomo for all you Weezer fans (even though I don't happen to fall into that catagory), and the catchy "Waste of My Time". Despite all this album's high points, there are probably more lows. Many tracks are dull and boring, and have annoying lyrics, such as the wanna-be beautiful "Sorry". Despite this band's improvement, "Darkhorse" is still not a good album to get if you're just a person who buys albums every now and then, but if you like old Limp Bizkit, Korn, Adema, Saliva, Papa Roach, or any of the related bands, then I suggest getting this album, but get it a cheap as you can. I doubt CT still have much time as artists, being on the Epic Record label...Oh well. It was good while it lasted.
