Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds Book Charity Gigs
Oct, 24 2010
Dave Matthewsand Tim Reynolds will perform two special benefit concerts on December 6 and 7, 2010 in Seattle, Washington. Over 100% of the ticket proceeds from the two shows at McCaw Hall will benefit charities selected by each ticket purchaser.
With each $135 ticket purchase, a unique code will be provided. Purchasers may then use the code to direct a $150 donation to any charity of their choice at JustGive.org, a nonprofit organization that connects people to over 1.8 million charities.
Long-time musical collaborators, Matthews and Reynolds in 1999 released the fan-favorite, Live at Luther College, and in 2010 a second 2-disc set, Live in Las Vegas. In 2007 the acoustic duo put out the music CD/DVD, Live at Radio City Music Hall, further demonstrating their freewheeling, yet complex musical relationship.
Matthews, leader of the Grammy™ Award-winning Dave Matthews Band, a touring juggernaut and staple of the summer concert season, announced last year a hiatus from the road in 2011.
The December concerts will mark the second time Matthews and Reynolds have played a Seattle benefit; the first being the Seeds of Compassion initiative on April 11, 2008, part of a five-day celebration centered around the Dalai Lama’s visit to Seattle.
