Dead or Alive, a New Wave/Dance band from Liverpool, found fame in the 1980s mainly due to their genderbending frontman Pete Burns. Their most succesful single "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" was #1 on the UK charts for three weeks and peaked the US charts at #11. However, Dead or Alive has scored many #1 hits in Japan including "Turn Around and Count 2 Ten" which was #1 for 17 weeks. They are also known for huge 80s dance hits "Brand New Lover", "My Heart Goes Bang", "In Too Deep", and "Come Home (With Me Baby)".
