Overview Edit

Saturday Night Wrist is the fifth studio album by American rock band Deftones. The album was released on Maverick Records on October 31, 2006. Vocalist Chino Moreno explained the record's title is a reference to the nerve damage caused when an intoxicated person falls asleep on their arm, Moreno then followed along to this with stating that it's "when you're alone on Saturday nights and your only best friend is your shaking wrist......".

Despite the fact that not even a year after that album came out, it was announced that they were recording a new album, trouble still seemed to be brewing in the Deftones camp. In fact, the way they would tell it in their own words, in interviews and such, they nearly broke up. But, together …

3 stars The evolution of the Deftones
Even though my tastes in music have changed quite a bit, I've always had a special place in my heart for the Deftones. They never deserved to be tossed in the heap with other crappy nu-metal bands, (Korn and Disturbed I'm looking at you.) They are a little too cerebral for that moniker. Anyway, this album is NOT White Pony. If you want White Pony, go out and get yourself White Pony. The Deftones can't keep churning out the same album, then they would be no better than Staind, Godsmack, Korn, or …
