4 stars Early 1970s duo had a Soul all their own
Mention Delaney and Bonnie today and most people will ask "Who?" It's been a long time since this soul rockin' duo from the early 1970s last released an album. With the possible exception of "Only You Know and I Know," a terrific Dave Mason cover which cracked the top 20 in the U.S., you are unlikely to hear a single song by this pair on nostalgic radio. Too bad. Those uninitiated are missing out on a soul-soaked time capsule that will have you tapping your feet and singing along.

3 stars Uneven; something is off
Loved these guys in the 70's. Acutely disappointed with the first half of this CD; recording is off or the musicians are off, I'm not too sure as I don't even want to listen to this again for a while. And what's with the song selection: where is "Better Come On in my Kitchen"? Some of the CD's second half songs come close to capturing the magic, especially of Bonnie's voice. Some love affairs are better left in the past, like Traffic's John Barleycorn. This CD may be another. If this is all that's left of Delaney & Bionnie, that's a real shame.
