Elliott Yamin is an R&B, soul and smooth jazz singer from southern California who is most famous for finishing in third place in the fifth season of American Idol,

American Idol was Yamin's big break, his Top 10 placing resulting in a record contract with Sony and an eponymous debut album in March 2007. The first single "Wait for You" reached No.5 in the US pop charts. In May of 2007 Yamin began his first solo tour of the US. So far his album has achieved gold-selling status.
