Uh, WHAT?It "presents a poor image of Elton's gay character?" How, exactly? This is a fun, dance version of the classic duet with Kiki Dee. Elton has always been flamboyant in his dress and who better to do a flamboyant song and video with than RuPaul? When you're reviewing art, perhaps your personal, political feelings should be set aside unless the artist is being overtly political, which Elton is surely not in this case (of course, the fact that RuPaul is a major star is the best political statement EVER!).
RemixFor Elton John, he seemed to be back in the fastlane in the 90's, after serious battles he had to face for himself and his personal life. When he was revived, his music was also welcomed back with love. Ironically, I wonder about the same when his music is remixed. With the remix of Don't Go Breaking My Heart, with RuPaul, it seemed alright, but not anything that should be raved about from Elton John. Although the chemistry is fair, it just can't beat the original version type-casted with Kiki D…
