Eros Ramazzotti is an Italian singer-songwriter born in 1963 whose success in the Italian and Spanish speaking musical world is indisputable.

His career was initiated after his appearance in a music contest in 1981. Although he didn't win, he secured a recording deal. He released his first album in 1985 and with each subsequent release his popularity grew. For each Italian album released, he released a Spanish speaking version and his records soared to the top of the charts across Europe. Reports suggest that he has sold in excess of 36 million records worldwide during his career and has recorded duets with many notable peers including Tina Turner, Cher Joe Cocker and Pavarotti.
