Biography

Edit

British dance act Faithless enjoyed chart success in the late 90s, but have struggled in recent years to revive their popularity. Debut album Reverence (1996) contained two Top 10 hits: "Salva Mea" and "Insomnia", both featuring rapper Maxi Jazz' distinctive style. Sunday 8pm (1998) was another successful album, and single "God Is A DJ" reached No.6 in the UK charts. Outrospective (2001) and No Roots (2004) featured Top Tenners "We Come 1" and "Mass Destruction" respectively, and No Roots was Faithless' first No.1 album. But that commercial success coincided with the bands' worst reviews yet, as critics were underwhelmed by their third and fourth albums. Fifth studio album To All New Arrivals (2006) only reached No.30 in the album charts, suggesting that Faithless' fanbase was finally agreeing with the critics.
