Dutch Trance DJ Ferry Corsten rose to prominence as the mixer on the Ministry of Sound's Trance Nation series. He had been DJing in his homeland since the age of 15 and began producing his own trance tracks under a range of pseudonyms, including: System F, Gouryella (with DJ Tiësto), Albion, Veracocha (with Vincent de Moor), Sidewinder and Pulp Victim.
In 1997 Corsten and Robert Smit founded Tsunami Records, who had a UK Top 20 hit when Corsten (as System F) released "Out Of The Blue". His second System F song, "Cry" was also a Top 20 hit. Subsequent releases on Tsunami also made an impression, including "Carte Blanche" and "Gouryella".
