Juan Fernando Fonseca was born in Bogota (Colombia) on May 29th, 1979. His first musical project was named "Bomba de Tiempo" (Time Bomb), released on 1999. Afterwards, on April 9th, 2000, Fonseca played for the first time in front of the public, at a place in the surroundings of Bogota.
So far (September 2008), Fonseca has released three albums: Fonseca (2002), Corazón (2005) and Gratitud (2008). With his first album, Fonseca gained national recognition, but with his second album, Fonseca was internationally recognized by winning the 2006 Latin Grammy Award for the Best Tropical Song of the Year, among other awards.
From his third album, the song "Enrédame" has reached the top of the charts in Colombia, and the top places in Latin America.
