I think that Second Sighting is a pretty good album from Frehley's Comet. It's in a straight-ahead hard rock musical direction. A total of ten tracks is included. Almost all of the tracks are straightforward hard rockers except for two of them. There's a power ballad ("It's Over Now") and an instrumental ("The Acorn Is Spinning"). The album's musicianship, songwriting, and production are good. I find all of the tracks to be listenable and worthwhile. Ace Frehley handles the vocals on four songs, and Tod Howarth sings on four others. Both Frehley and Howarth share the vocal duties on the straightforward hard rocker "Loser in a Fight." The guitar work throughout the album is cool and tight. The songs that I like the best are "It's Over Now" and "Time Ain't Runnin' Out." "It's Over Now" is an attractive, well-written power ballad that features nice vocals from Howarth. The song also contains a well-constructed guitar solo and good keyboard playing. "Time Ain't Runnin' Out" is a catchy tune that contains nice keyboard work and cool vocals from Howarth. Also, "New Kind of Lover" sports a pleasing guitar solo. Second Sighting is worth a listen.
