JamCruise Ten: Setting Sail for Adventure

One of my favorite jokes: “What’s worse than a hippie drum circle?” The answer: “Nothing.” Well, now JamCruise has taken that to a whole new level by offering a six-day Caribbean adventure with several dozen jambands, DJs, funketeers, and artists at-large while tethered to a cruise ship. JamCruise will next set sail January 9-14, 2012. Actually it sounds pretty sweet; a giant, boozy, sun-drenched party in international waters with stops in Haiti and Jamaica. This marks the 10th anniversary of JamCruise and this year, in partnership with Positive Legacy, a music-based outreach group, pallets of goods will be donated to the people of Haiti. JamCruise 2012 lineup includes Umphrey’s McGee, Galactic, Keller Williams & Co., Bruce Hornsby, Toots & The Maytals, Soulive, Karl Denson,Ozomatli, The New Mastersounds, The Dead Kenny Gs, Orgone, DJ Logic, and a multitude of others.
