Biography

Edit

Both a great melodist and a great dramatist, Giuseppe Verdi is a name practically synonymous with Italian opera. He gave renewed life to Italian music and created works including Rigoletto (inspired by a play by Victor Hugo), La Traviata (inspired by a play by Alexandre Dumas) and Aida, which have become as beloved as they are brilliant. Repeated listening only adds to their lustre.
