Biography

Edit

Groove Armada were formed in England in 1996 by Andy Cato and Tom Findlay. Their earlier work is laid back chill-out although they have incorporated a lot of musical styles over their career including rap and reggae and have worked with a range of collaborators including Jeru the Damaja, Fatboy Slim and Neneh Cherry.

The bands debut album, Northern Star, released in 1998 gained the band critical praise but it was the follow up, Vertigo, which gained the band commercial success and widespread recognition. Subsequent albums were more dancefloor friendly although their music has gone beyond the clubs and livingrooms to be used in adverts for a range of products including cars, computer games and shops.

In addition to their own work they pair have also worked as producers and are currently working on the forthcoming Kylie Minogue album.
