Helmut Schmidt is a German Social Democratic politician who is also a talented pianist. He recorded Johann Sebastian Bach Concerto for 4 pianos and Strings, with Christoph Eschenbach, Justus Franz and Gerhard Oppitz for Deutsche Gramophon in 1985.He was Chancellor of Germany from 1974 to 1982
