Biography

Edit

Hot Hot Heat are one of Canada's foremost alternative-rock bands, but have yet to achieve much in the way of chart success. They formed in 1999 and developed from a synth-pop sound to incorporate new-wave and post-punk influences. Scenes One Through Thirteen (2001) was a compilation album of their early singles and EPs. After signing to Sub Pop, they released an acclaimed debut studio album in 2002, Make Up The Breakdown. In 2005 they signed to Warner Bros but their major label debut, Elevator, was met with mixed reviews and poor sales. A third studio album, Happiness Ltd., was released toward the end of 2007, to more mixed reviews.
