Husker Du has made a history of being one of the seminal punk bands of the 80's. Listening to their albums, you notice their range of being able to play almost any kind of music. With Candy Apple Grey,Bob Mould(guitar/vocals), Grant Hart (drummer/vocals)and Greg Norton(bassist)show their ability to sing about one of the hardest things in life, breaking up. 3 stars Oh! Huskers, where have you gone?
After an inevitable bail from "the check's in the mail" SST, the Huskers signed with Warner's Bros. (before this TIME, AOL mega-media-conglomerate we have now). At the time they had an album in the can which could have been released on Warner's if the Huskers wanted. Warner's really wanted it. Flip You Wig was an improvement over the Husker great New Day Rising. It was high energy and even had some "singles" they could maybe get into college music bins.
