Biography

Edit

Felipe Coronel aka Immortal Technique is a hip-hop MC born in Peru and raised in New York in 1978. He is known for mixing his politics with his music, releasing the controversial "Bin Laden" in 2004, which implicates Bush in 9/11.

Despite being unsigned, he released his self made debut album Revolutionary Vol.1 in 2001. He wrote the tracks, paid for the recording, and distributed the album himself. The album was critically acclaimed, earning him plaudits in The Source magazine. After joining Viper Records/Nature Sounds he released his follow up Revolutionary Vol. 2 in 2003. Another critically acclaimed album, it has been praised by Dr Dre and Eminem. Immortal Technique plays himself in the political film The Revolutionary released in 2004. A new album is planned for 2008.
