This companion to James Taylor's 1976 Greatest Hits package, which chronicled his Seventies' output for Warner Brothers, is cause for celebration for casual James Taylor fans who have not kept up with his infrequent studio albums since signing with Columbia in 1977--there have only been seven, and they're all represented here.

Any self respecting JT fan already has these songs. Why not a CD of his work with the Symphonic tour...(lots of Broadway numbers, new arrangements of old favorites)?...I just don't see the point of this one. It's not the material...the material is fine...JT fans want something different. There are no new or unreleased tunes here..at least Greatest Hits (#1) had 2 new recordings of old Apple tracks plus a live version of Steamroller Blues.
