The country music singer-songwriter Jason Aldean was born in Georgia in 1977, and despite trying to get into the music business from a young age he nearly turned his back on the whole industry.

After a few false starts Aldean gave himself six months to establish a career in music before quitting, fortunately for him he was signed to a record contract and his debut album, 2005's Jason Aldean went on to sell over one million copies, while the follow-up Relentless got to the top five of the Billboard 200 charts. He has been nominated for the Horizon Award at the 2007 Country Music Awards.
